Static QR codes: never. Free-tier static codes resolve for the full lifetime of KipQR, regardless of your subscription status. We cannot and will not revoke them.

Dynamic QR codes: If your subscription lapses, your dynamic codes downgrade to a simple holding page (not a dead link, not an ad) for 12 months. You'll get 30, 7, and 1-day email warnings with a one-click option to resume your subscription or downgrade to static. We commit to this in our Terms of Service, it's not a policy we can silently change.

Yes, and this is the hardest engineering problem we solved. AI-generated QR codes can fail to scan if the model distorts the finder patterns or reduces contrast too aggressively.

Every KipQR output goes through automated scan validation with 4 different decoder libraries before you see it. If it fails validation, the AI retries with adjusted parameters. You will never receive an unscannable QR code from us. If one ever fails in the real world, we regenerate it free of charge.

One generation = 1 credit. Each credit produces one styled QR code. If the AI needs to retry due to scan validation failure, the retry is free, you only pay for the final successful output.

Credit top-ups never expire and stack with your monthly plan allowance. The Free tier gives you 3 credits on signup so you can test the quality before committing.

Yes, cancel anytime, no contract, no penalty. When you cancel, your subscription runs to the end of the current billing period, then drops to free tier.

Static codes continue working permanently. Dynamic codes enter the 12-month grace window (see above). All your data, analytics history, design credits, QR configs, remains in your account and exportable for 90 days after cancellation.

Static QR: The destination URL is encoded directly into the QR code pattern. The code is self-contained, it doesn't need KipQR's servers to resolve. It will scan to your URL even if KipQR goes away. The trade-off: you can't change the destination after printing.

Dynamic QR: The code points to a KipQR redirect URL, which instantly bounces to your real destination. You can update the destination at any time without reprinting the QR code. This is what enables scan analytics and destination updates, because traffic flows through our servers.

Absolutely. Pro plan includes 3 team seats and bulk generation, which covers most freelance designers managing multiple clients. QR codes you generate are yours to deliver, no KipQR branding on the output.

Yes. KipQR collects scan analytics data (device type, approximate location from IP, timestamp) to power your analytics dashboard. This data is processed under legitimate interest for analytics and is described in our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell or share scan data. You can export or delete all data associated with your account at any time. For European users, our data processing is governed by GDPR and our DPA is available on request at hello@kipqr.com.
